I’ve lived in Salt Lake City all my life, surrounded by art thanks to my mom. Her influence naturally drew me to design from a young age. But when it came time for college, I chose a more “secure” path in Information Systems, even though I always had an itch for creativity. It wasn’t until after college, while working as an insights analyst, that I realized something was missing.

So, like any 22-year-old searching for direction, I decided to take a break and travel. That time away allowed me to reflect on what I really wanted out of my career. I remembered a web development class I’d taken in college that introduced me to UX/UI design—a field that perfectly combined technology and creativity. The idea of blending design with tech excited me, so I enrolled in a UX/UI bootcamp.

What I loved most about the bootcamp was how it emphasized teamwork, collaboration, and the value of user feedback. I quickly discovered that I had a passion for user research and understanding the “why” behind people’s interactions with visual products. Now I'm ready to get my foot in the door and pursue a design-focused career.
